Animals
Animal Diseases
The Evergreen State Fair adheres to all requirements set by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) and our own more stringent measures to keep people and animals healthy. This includes informing our exhibitors how to care for their animals before, during and after the fair. Before the animals enter the barns, a veterinarian checks each animal. During the fair each morning and evening all of the animals are checked by a veterinarian. We also follow specific protocols based on animal species. We have other rules in place to protect the public which includes: no petting animals or going inside animal pens and we encourage hand washing after going inside the barns and have wash stations and hand sanitizer outside the barns.
Handwashing
Do not eat in any animal barns and be sure to wash hands thoroughly with soap and water if touching any animals.
Air Quality
In the event of wildfire smoke impacting the air quality in Monroe, the Evergreen State Fair will offer attendees N95 masks to wear while outdoors. Please follow the direction of medical professionals. Attendees who purchased admission tickets can use their tickets for another day of same value.
Bathrooms
The Evergreen State Fair cleans and sanitizes bathrooms throughout each day. Fairgoers can notify staff if there is a bathroom in need of services by using the SeeClickFix.
