The Evergreen Recreation & Sportsmen Expo has a variety of vendors featuring outdoor products, getaways and recreational activities for the whole family.
Washington State Spring BBQ Championship
![]() Fire, smoke, spice, and meat. Ahh the sweet smells of spring. Join us for a fun family-orientated event will feature top notch competition BBQ teams from across the Pacific Northwest. Competitors will by vying for a share of the cash purse and qualify for a chance at an invitation to the prestigious Jack Daniels Invitation BBQ Championships. With all these great BBQ teams together in one place firing up their smokers and letting that wonderfully savory aroma waft over the fairgrounds we can't go without offering delectible samples to the public.
SUPPORT LOCAL YOUTH Bad Draw Wrestling will be selling pulled pork samples and raffling off rack of ribs to raise money for local youth wrestling. Bad Draw Wrestling is a 501c3 charitable organization that gives boys and girls from all walks the opportunity to wrestle locally and at state & national championship. COMPETE

The PNWBA will be hosting a Certified BBQ Judge (CBJ) class on Saturday morning starting at 9:00am sharp. Once certified as a PNWBA BBQ judge you become eligible to judge at any PNWBA sanctioned event. The class fee includes a one year PNWBA member as well as your PNWBA CBJ badge. Registration starts by printing out this registration form and sending it in. LEARN Not quite ready to compete but still want to improve your own Q? Free BBQ classes open to everyone will be held at center stage. The 30-45 minutes classes and demos start on the hour on Saturday from 11am to 4pm. Your hosts include Grand Champion Pitmaster Lynnae Oxley from thebbqclass.com, and the 2011 PNWBA Team of the Year and Grand Champion pitmaster JD & Ronna McGee of Wine Country Q. As the Expo wraps up join us at center stage Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:30pm with Miss Sky Valley and Monroe Mayor Robert Zimmerman to see who goes home with the hardware and money and who just gets to go home. The Evergreen Recreation and Sportsman Expo is proud to host the Spring Recreation Business Expo on April 28th. The business expo will include educational sessions with a focus on economic development, recreation and tourism. The sessions will include panel discussions by top leadership in the region including County Executive Aaron Reardon, Councilman Dave Somers, Department of Natural Resources Recreation Manager Mark Mauren, Mike Schlafmann with the US Forest Service, Mayor Carolyn Eslick and Mayor Robert Zimmerman.
