Fair Advisory Board
2013 Fair Advisory Board Members
The Fair Advisory Board is composed of eleven members, five representing and appointed by the Council district in which they live, and six at-large members who may live anywhere in the county. The board meets at least monthly and represents a broad range of interests. It was created to advise, consult and assist the Fair Manager in the operation and maintenance of the Evergreen State Fair. Members serve four-year terms and are limited to three consecutive full terms. District 2

Gary Lollis
Gary has over 40 years experience in business. His other community involvements include the Mukilteo Lions, Museum of Flight Restoration Center, and the Boys and Girls Club. Gary is an avid classic car collector.
District 3

Mark Mahnkey
Mark works for the Boeing Co. as an Human Resources Coordinator. Was on the School Board for 13 years, the Library Board for 12 years, Small Business Dev. Specialist at WSU, WWU + HCC for 4 years.

Stephanie Hagarty
Stephanie has been the Open Class Food Preservation Superintendent since 1991. When she was younger, she was active in the 4-H Horse program. Stephanie is a food judge at many other fairs and is involved in the theater.

Don Ballard
Don works at Boeing. Don has been active at the Fair for over 25 years. He is the 4-H Rabbit Superintendent and has exhibited in the Needle Arts department. Don wants to be a voice for the county's youth and exhibitors.

Anne Lowe
Vice Chair
Anne has been active at the Evergreen State Fair for 24+ years. As a teacher and FFA Advisor, she has knowledge in many areas of the Fair.

J. Elaine Johannsen
Elaine has been a Project Manager for several large projects, has over 30 years experience as a business analyst, with extensive computer skills. Elaine is a past 4H Leader and has been a FFA Chaperone for events. Her reasons for serving would assist with keeping an agricultural and country focus for the fair while maintaining a safe, fun, and educational place for families.

Rick Merrill
Chairperson
Since 1994 Rick has officially and unofficially volunteered at the Fair, working with the animal projects and educational exhibits. For the past 30 years Rick has volunteered in local Scout programs, YMCA Indian guides, sports coach, referee, Jr. Achievement in the public schools, and in 4-H as a project, club and program leader. Rick has been a member of a local school foundation board, Washington State 4H foundation board and his local church advisory board.

Tod Johnson
Tod has been in business for many years in the Monroe area, has provided vehicles for the fair parade. Tod has been active in the community, and involved with several service organizations. Tod said he is honored help guide the success of the fair into the future, for future generations to enjoy.
